The Emperor Claims His Crown

Big L's very own Emperor Rosko is due to be honoured by the Radio Academy in December and will be flying into London to pick up his award.

Rosko started his career on radio Caroline in the 60's and since then has broadcasted to various countries around the world including South America, Spain, France and Germany. Rosko also spent a sucessful period of time at BBC Radio 1.
Emperor Rosko
Since his childhood days, Rosko has always had showbiz in his blood. His Father, Joe Pasternak, was a film producer for Universal and MGM pictures. He had a career that spanned over 40 years and with it came 2 Oscar nominations and 3 Golden Globe nominations. It was because of his Father that Rosko mixed with all the stars, including the legendary king of rock 'n' roll Elvis Presley, who used to call him 'Mr. Mike'.

This award is long overdue for the talented boadcaster and will be in honour of his services, of more than 40 years, to radio. He will also be inducted into the Radio Academys 'Hall of Fame'.

You can catch Rosko on Big L every Saturday morning from 10.
