The Sound Of Poetry
The much sought after Mike Read/Sir John Betjeman albums are now avaiable from Angel Air (www.angelair.co.uk).
'The Sound Of Poetry' features thirty recordings by many great artists including Cliff Richard, Don McLean, Donovan, Justin Hayward, Gene Pitney, Leo Sayer, Colin Blunstone and David Essex. George Martin helped get the project underway, producing the first four tracks.
The other CD just released on Angel Air (www.angelair.co.uk) is 'The Mike Read Singles', featuring his songs released as The Trainspotters, The Ghosts, Rock-Olas amongst others!. This 24 track album features Language of Love, a song that Mike performed in the 80's at Wembley with the writer John D. Loudermilk and the popular punk anthem High Rise.
