The much sought after Mike Read/Sir John BetjemanA Teenage Opera
Big L continues it's highly successful programming this week with a very special This Sunday At Nine where Mike Read will be narrating Mark Wirtz's 'A Teenage Opera'.
This musical creation was recorded in the late 60's with various songs featuring the voice of Keith West from Tommorrow, Nick Lowe, Wirtz himself and his London born wife Rosalind Hannaman.Mike Read tells the tale of Patti, a young girl who has fallen from a motorcycle and being aided by George, who creates stories about a fantasy village to pass the time until help arrives.
The programme begins at 21:00 (BST) on 13th July and will repeat on Wednesday 16th.
